38 Week Appointment!!!!! Posted: 01-26-07 21:15pm


Well I went for my 38 week appointment today and it went really good I told my doctor that I have been having pains and I wanted her to see if my cervix is dialated or thinned out. So she checked me and she told me that my cervix is thinning right out and she said that baby is def in the head down position. And I told her that I was worried about going overdue so she said that if my cervix is dialated by next wednesday she said that she will stripe my membranes oh my god im just getting so excited and really nervous :d anyway that was the highlight of my day lol

Great news!! Isn't that exciting. I couldn't wait to see my little one and each day toward the end seemed like eternity. So, does that mean you wouldn't go to 40 weeks or is it at that appt she will have you make an appt for induction. Why are you worried about being overdue? I am just curious. I went through an induction and it was not a fun experience. However, my cervix wasn't thinning that much and I wasn't dilated, which probably made the labor that much more painful. The plus side of the induction was that since I am strep b positive, I had no doubts that the antibotics would go through my bloodstream in time...It only takes an hour. Good luck!! Let us know how your next appt goes.

well she said I am dilated by next wednesday that she will be stripping my membranes. And if I am not dilated she cant do it.
