I'm New, Please Lend Me Your Advice
Posted: 01-27-07 16:22pm

Um, hi i've got a few questions. I have never been diagnosed with any type of eating disorder. Regularly exercising made my weight sharply drop off and stabilize much lower than where I started. I've always eaten somewhat healthy foods. I stopped exercising recently because I felt it wasn't benefiting me at all, but my diet remained pretty much the same.

I started looking at myself in the mirror more after I quit, and I realized I now have a pudgy gut. I tried starting to exercising again to see if maybe that'd help. It caused my weight to drop down a bit, but I can still see the pudginess. Though, I think the exercising is affecting my eating habits. Now, I can only eat roughly half as much as I used to before feeling too full to eat anything more. If I try to eat any more I unwilling make myself sick, sometimes to the point of near vomitting. I have no urge to vomit, purge, count calories or anything like that aside from working off this extra stomach bulge. I'm certainly not eating anymore than I used to, i'm exercising the same, but I can't get rid of this pudge. I've asked my friends/family what I should do to lose the pounds and they claim I need to gain weight. A few people at work have made jokes about me being bulimic or anorexic. I can see the fat, but everyone else says they can't. Do I have a problem? I'll include my measurements below, hope it's enough info.

Gender: male
age: 25
height: 5 foot 11 inches
weight: 108(current) jumps between 100-110ish
stomach circumference: 22 and one-fourth'ish inches over belly button

thanks for all your help in advance, and sorry if the spelling is bad.

You definitely have a problem. Your weight is very low for your height and it's extremely dangerous. You should look into therapy/counselling for an eating disorder.
