Lymphadenopaty: swollen and painful lymph nodes Posted: 01-29-07 08:00am
I have had an uncomfortable pain on (my)
right side of thoat, the gland feels quite
hard. It becomes swollen the lower jaw
line is also swollen and the pain reaches
up to my right hand cheek bone. The gland
is always there. This pain has been for
about 3 years, I went to the doctor 3
years ago he told me to go to the dentist,
who couldn't find anything wrong, the
dentist reffered me to the dental
hospital, who said didn't know what could
be causing it.
According to the symptoms you report (a
swollen and painful lymph node under the
right jaw existing for more than 3 years)
you could be experiencing some kind of
lymphadenopaty. The real nature of the
lymphadenopaty (inflammation or tumor) can
be determined via a fine needle punition
or/and biopsy. You can consult an
ENT-specialist to diagnose and treat this
condition, rather than a dentist.
