Heart Beat Pounding In My Head? Posted: 01-29-07 22:17pm
Hello
i am not sure if this is the right place
to put this, but I have been having for
some time now, a wooshing pounding sound
inside my head. When I get up from a
sitting postion a few seconds later it
starts wooshing and at some moments sounds
like it is coming right from my ears. My
head feels like it may explode and never
mind bending over to pick something up off
the floor. If I get startled it does it.
I hate the sound of my heart beating, it
freaks me out. I have anxiety problems
and have a really heard time relaxing. As
well because of my anxiety my blood
pressure can be a little up at the doctors
office.
I was wondering if anyone else has had
these symptoms and if so what is causing
this to happen. Any direction would help.
Thankyou for your time.

the symptoms that you are experiencing
comes from your anxiety disorder. my
friend used to have panic disorder and she
started taking a supplement containing
valerian, which helps with her condition.
if u want, u can ask me and i can
recommend it to you.

I'm not sure if my condition is similar to
yours; in certain body positions, I can
feel my heart pounding (ex. my head,
hand). Sometimes I even shake/ move for a
few seconds while the heart pound. And I
can't control it. (See post written by
me)

HI, I have EXACTLY the same issue, have
you found anything? God, this is making me
crazy, it gets worse sometimes, others it
doesnt happen at all. It happens to me
also afterI climbing stairs, but only
after a relaxed walking or starting from
sitting.
I normally run and even though I endure
good time and speed, the sounds rarely can
be heard. The other day I noticed that if
the stupid whooshing and the annoying high
pitched sounds begins, if I hold my
breath, it stops.
Also I read in another place that if you
cover your nose and blow slowly your ears
feel better. Please let me know if you
have found anything new? as far as I know
I have a good heart (no problems from ECG)
My BP also increase with stress.
