Cant Sleep... Feel My Heart Beat Posted: 01-30-07 03:10am
Hello everyone I am a twenty year old
male and I have been to the emergency room
twice for fear of having a heart attack...
I was told that they were panic attacks
and put on zoloft.. It worked for a
period of time however I didnt want to be
dependent on chemicals to make me happy so
I stopped. Since I have been fine with
the occasional uncomfortable feeling when
im out doing something, since tho I have
had weird feelings in my body, ive noticed
that when I try to go to sleep I can feel
my heart beat at a regular beat but I feel
warm and weird... It constantly goes away
and will come back at random until
about 5 minutes ago when I felt I was
going to have another heart attack...
Anyone know anything about this??

Hey! Posted: 01-30-07 09:27am
I have had the same thing happen to me for
years now. It started when I was 16 and I
am now 31. It is very scary and even
though I have had all the tests and every
one came out normal I still once in a
while get freaked out.
Have you had any testing done ex. Ekg,
ecg, halter, stress test, ultra sound. If
not then go to your doctor and request
them. These are the tests they gave me to
rule out any acual heart problem. If you
have and they came out normal then breath
deep and relax. Try to find ways to help
you relax on a daily basis. There are
many, many people out there that live with
this feeling so you are not alone.
i hope this helps and take care!

Im a 21 year old male and I suffer from
the same thing. I have gone to the
emergency room once because I thought I
was having a heart attack, and they
dismissed it as anxiety. I have since
calmed myself down a bit but once and
while, especially if its on my mind, I
also hear my heart beat and fear as if im
going to die. Do you have any other
symptoms? My chect mucles ache, random
muscle twitches, mild fever, aches in
general? Im still worried about it but
will be put at ease if someone shares the
same type of thing

Your case seems to be called "palpitation"
medically, which means can feel your own
heartbeat
i know there are some ways to help this
situation. You can try to have some
chinese date regularly, according to the
theory in traditional chinese medicine, it
really helps.
