I have had pain in my lower left rib cage
now for almost a month..Its not major
pain..Hurts when I sit certain ways and
when I touch it sometimes it is
tender.Possibly a torn muscle or cracked
rib? Is this anything to be worried
about??

Me Too... Posted: 01-30-07 14:13pm
Have had this for almost 3 months, it
started when I ate soup that upset my
intestinal tract, which reactivated my ibs
symptoms (have had ibs for years off/on) -
so sometimes think this is related to
inflammation of the small intestine - also
very bloated, with distented gut! How
uncomfortable. The pain is in my left rib
& feels as though it knots up. The
pain is constant & gets worse as the
day goes on. I get relief when I lie down
& it disappears thru the night. So,
have conlcuded that gravity affects the
pain or is it food (as I don't eat thru
the night). Like all the others, have
had c-scans of abdomen, ribs, ultrasounds,
blood tests, colonoscopy - all normal. So
frustrating - it feels as if something is
poking into my lower ribs & feels like
it's knotting up, how can this be just
stress? I'm going to try
cleansing/detoxing then at least hopefully
i'll be rid of possible parasites &
toxins. Also, going to p.E. - my
therapist says ribs can move. It's a
strange disorder, gall bladder doesn't
enter in, wrong side I guess, but wonder
if this could be the source as pain can
move. I'm open to any suggestions
