Hi

my girlfriend has been having stomach cramps both during and straight after sex which is a bit of a concern to us. She said they get so bad that its not enjoyable. I'm fine with the fact that if she doesn't enjoy it we won't do it - i'm more concerned that she and the baby are ok!

My question is, is this normal? I've read horror stories that it could induce premature labour and she's only 20 weeks pregnant. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I think we need our minds putting at rest.

Maybe her cervix is shorter or something im not sure, sometimes sex or orgasm can cause contractions. Id talk to your dr at the next appt and ger her checked out to make sure, he might tell u to avoid sex for a while .

As your womb is large during pregnancy, you can sometimes feel 'cramping' which is actually the womb contracting during orgasm.

It may also be braxton hicks contractions too.

If she is concerned it is probably best she has a word with her doctor for reassurance
