Sex After Abortion...
Posted: 02-01-07 09:31am

I recently have had an abortion... And it says tht u shouldnt have sex till 2 weeks after...
And it also ses theat alot of women bleed after 10 days...
But I bleed way too little right after my abortion... And I havnt bleed at all after the 10 days... It that normal...
I had mine done on the 16th jan...
I dont know whether not bleeding at all is normal or not...
Me n my parter are having sex again... But I think I may have cut myself inside or sumthing, coz it relle relle hurts when he is entering... We have never had this problems ever before, and we both r extremly sexually active, and always using enough lube...
Wht might be the prb? Sad

i think you answered your own question.. You had an abortion, there was scraping done inside of you, sex is going to hurt again, it's normal, it should stop. If it doesn't after a couple of weeks, it could be a sign on an infection.

Hope you have started using condoms or bc.

I agree with lil. Your two weeks are just barely up, so I would not be at all surprised if there was some pain.

The reason you are advised to wait before having sex is because your cervix has been opened and it needs to close (to prevent the possibility of infection/another pregnancy).
Your body has been through alot, be gentle with it!
Also, the amount of bleeding varies from woman to woman but if you have any concerns call the clinic and just ask.

Have you been to your follow up exam?

Problem!

Not trying to be mean, but it sounds that you have done this before! Shocked is this you method of birth control? How old are you? If you arent careful you could damage yourself Sad and when and if you mature to be a settled down wife you may not be able to have babies. Sex is great, but its as responsible as marriage,or a job! Use protection, theres a few lives at stake!
