Hi megabee... I am also trying to get pregnant. I am 29 so I want to get a move on... I don't want to be an old mom either. I haven't been on the pill for 6 1/2 years and my husband and I don't use any protection, but still no baby.
Why does your husband want to still use a condom? Is he ready to start a family?

Baby dust to us all

If he doesn't want to be a father yet, that's his choice. You have years to have kids. Relax and get your life squared away first.

He is 26 and I am 24 we are young ish. I know its not a reason to want one but all of my friends are getting married and having kids and I want them to be about the same age. We have talked and he wants to wait till we are $$ stable.

Well, if he wants to wait for stable $$$ and he is not using a condom, he can't blame only you when the pregnancy comes back positive. I am not saying get pregnant, but if he won't do his part in preventing things can happen.

What is an old mom anymore? I guess people will say I am old, I am 32.

Most of my friends have kids the same age as my three year old and are still getting pregnant. It is nice to have them all the same age. Just because your friends are getting pregnant and having kids now doesn't mean they won't be pregnant with their second or third one when you are pregnant. A good friend on mine is due three weeks before me and she started a lot earlier. She has a 7 year old child.

Oh, buying a house is a huge fertility pill. We bought our first house in az and then a few months later - positive pregnancy. That happened to three other friends of mine. House, baby....

It does sound like you both should do a little more talking. Careful with the old mom thing.....Half jokingly....Some of us on here can be considered older moms but we are still young!

he's absolutely right. You don't want your children to ever go without. They deserve to be brought into a stable, secure home. They deserve the absolute best. Even though they're not here just yet, keep their best interests in mind now and get everything else taken care of first. Good luck.

I had my daughter when I was 18 and i'll have my son when i'm 35!!! I'm probably one of the older mommies in here. Oh well!!! Most days I don't feel that old.
I certainly have a lot more patience than I had 16 years ago, and i'd like to think i'm a bit wiser too.

You should talk to your hubby about how he feels about it.

i thought what she ment was he will not have unprotected so he is taking the necessary steps so she wont. How would that be his fault if she got pregnant while using a condom?

Maybe I read it wrong, if I did my mistake.
