Cold feet & hands
Posted: 02-04-07 06:56am

Since 4 months ago I've been starting to get ice cold feet and hands, even when the temprature indoors is high. This happens every since day since then. I also always feel cold when people around me are boiling hot. I see mto have become even more sensetive to the cold than I used to be I can't sleep at night with cold feet and it's really annoying. There's no pain or colour change.

What could be causing this? Should I be concerned?

According to your age and your symptoms (“getting ice cold feet and hands, even when the temperature indoors is high” without pain and changes in skin’s color ) you could be experiencing some type of anxiety disorder like somatoform disorder. Functional peripheral vascular disorders like Raynaud syndrome, acrocianosis, livido reticularis, erythromelalgia, acrodynia, erythrocyanosis etc. are less possible because you report no pain and/or change of skin color. Somatoform disorders imitate a real diseases but lack objective, physical evidence. Somataform disorders manifest only with subjective symptoms. You may consult your primary health provider for a medical examination.
