heello everyone im
writing this post because I guess I need
someone to listen and give me there
opinion... Well I had a 360 two level
lumbar fusion 1 year ago due to a botched
up 3 level laminectomy done by workers
comp a year and a half ago.. The pain
from the discs were gone but I still have
other pain and am very weak in the legs
but I am on ultram and it helps me alot
and takes care of the weakness... Well
about two weeks ago I started to have pain
above the fusion site I didnt think
anything of it and then a few days later I
woke up and couldnt move my neck without
savere pain.... I waited a fewdays to see
if it was just the way I slept, well
surprise surprise it got worse and now my
rigt arm is numb and has pain it feels
like I hit my funny bone with a throbing
feeling... I went to my primary doctor as
I didnt want to bother my orthopedic until
I new for sure there was a problem.. My
doc sent me for an exray of lumbar spine
and said the report came back saying that
there was a disc herniation below the
fusion site at the very last vertabra of
the spine.. I almost cryied...
I didnt have the
neck pain this time at the docs so a few
days later I had the neck pain and went
back to the doc and he said it sounds like
a pinched nerve. I asked him if I could
have an mri done on my whole spine and he
said he thinks so but he isnt sure due to
the hardware I have in my spine???? Can I
have an mri??? Does titanium effect the
machine..???? Is there an illness or
something that could be making my spine
deteriate at an accelerated rate??? I
mean I am only 29 years old, if it keeps
up ill be in a wheel chair in a couple of
years...
