Dealing With Pain....

Sad I know there are people out there that are worse than me but I cant help but feel real depressed. I wake in pain everyday and never get a good nights sleep. I am on ultram and recently percocet for the neck problem. Does anyone know of a drug that would help me wake up pain free and live a normal life???? I am always in discomfort and it effects my attitude to my wife and kids and anyone in my path.. Im not real mean but I do and can snap and say stuff I dont mean.. My family went through so much when I had the laminectomy then the 360 fusion, I dont know if I or my family can go through something like that again... Oh and for those of you thinking about a fusion I am glad I did it I mean I still have pain but its different but the recovery was something I never want to experiance again, the pain after surgery was like nothing I have ever felt and thje doctor made it sound alot mellower than it truly was I guess he didnt want to scare me... Well how do I deal with this???????????????? Please help... Sad

Ultram is good, but not the best. I was on it before. I was on vicodin, and others as well. I found the the best medicine for me was oxycontin every 8hrs. It is a 8-12hr medicine. It wore off after 8/9hrs for me so I began taking it every 8 hours instead of twice a day. I just started the 3-a-day deal and it's amazing how well I sleep. I wake up with very little pain and mellows out mostly about 30min-1hr after my first dose. My pain is often in the 8-10 range, and this medicine gets me down to a 2 on occasion, and afterages about a 4 which is rare for me and very tolerable.
