I'm sorry to hear that you're having a
hard time.
I had surgery in 1988 and it took 5 to 10
years before the seizures finally got
under decent control. I still have
simple-partials, but they're not too bad.
(much better than before surgery).
A few months after surgery, however, the
seizures were actually worse than they
were before the lobectomy.
I hope you are able to have similar
luck.

Cynthia,
take it one day at a time, its hard not
letting it getting to you. My seizures
have never been controled. I do have days
that are not as bad as others, but, I it
stinks when you cluster a couple a times a
day.
I just keep hopeing that the doc will find
the magic med or combo for me. (i'm not a
surgery canidate)
good luck, and keep smiling

Epilepsy Sucks!! Posted: 02-14-04 21:22pm
Hi i'm amy and i've had epilepsy for 14
years. I guess i'm one of the lucky
ones. I'm controlled well. I'm on
900mg of tegretol and 10mg of clobazam.
I'm pregnant with my first baby and
everything is going well. To all of you
who live with aweful disease and who
aren't candidates for surgery and meds
don't work, you're in my thoughts and
prayers.

real frigging funny person. I checked it
without the "i" in it. We have frigging
epilepsy here. We don't do strobes well.
I am glad you think you are funny. Did
you come on to this site to try and hurt
somebody? Or did you come here to make
fun of people that have seizures.
