I was diagnosed three weeks ago with an
ankle sprain. I am still unable to
withstand full weight bearing. Every
step is painful, like a sharp knife in the
top and side of my ankle. Does this sound
like a sprain or a missed fracture on
x-ray?

Have you been followed up with the on call
dr at the hospital or given more than 1
opinion on th sprain?- is it still swollen
the size of texas are you on crutches? My
husband was misdiagnosed as a sprain when
he actually needed surgery- the delay in
treatment was 17 days. You better get a
second opinion!
