Sitting Up
Posted: 02-05-07 19:46pm

Ava will be 3 months tomorrow and for a little over a week now she's been trying to sit up on her own. After her bottle she pulls herself off of my arm. A few nights ago I sat her up on her changing table to comb her hair and she sat up by herself (she's a little leaned forward) for at least a minute until she started to fall over.
It's so exciting, I thought i'd share. I told her that as soon as she sits up on her own, she can have cereal. I guess she really wants that cereal. Lol

Yay ava! Isn't it amazing watching them grow and change?

Finn's trying to sit up too. When he's in his swing he tries to sit forward, and yesterday I had him sitting on the couch and he kept trying to lean forward to get his toy. We've been practicing sitting for a while now but he doesn't have good balance yet.

Are you going to start cereal soon? I think i'm going to wait until 5 months, at least that's my plan for now.

I was going to start in 2 weeks b/c I think she's ready, but it'll be mardi gras then so i'll wait until she makes 4 months. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm really looking forward to feeding him food. I think it's going to be so fun for some reason. I put a tiny dab of chocolate ice cream on his tongue the other day and he was sputtering and drooling and making these grossed out faces. I hope he likes veggies better!
