Hi everybody my name is heather I am 18 years old and 16 weeks and 1 day preggy now. The problem is I cant seem to sleep at the right times. I don't know what to do. I mean girls I cant go to sleep till around 3 in the morning, of course I just stay on internet looking at all the post, trying to learn people and see how everyone is doing. Anyone have any advice please help. I need to be on track cause in july I need to be ready for the baby, my sleep will be so screwed.

Hey heather, i'm due in aug and am having prob's sleeping too. I suggest a body pillow it's nice to help prob up you knee and it will help support your belly when it get's really big. I also use some lavendar in my pillow, it's calming and relaxes me. But besides that I relly don't know what to tell you, if you hear of anything else that's helpful send me a message. Amy :d

Hi heather, my name is latoya and I just recently posted the same problem you are having. I cant seem to get to sleep at night either. No matter how hard I try I just cant sleep very well. I'm not sure what the problem is but someone suggested I speak to my doctor about it. I plan on doing so my next visit which is next tuesday. I am 29 weeks and I have been having this problem since I dont know when. I try to exercise and eat a really filling meal before sleeping (some tips I read on babycenter.Com) but that never helps. Most of the time I just lie there until I eventually fall asleep. Just check with your doc and see what he has to say. Hope I helped a little.

They are wonderful...Lol...Try a warm bath with milk bath at nights and drink some warm milk.(eww, I know! Lol)... But also, when the baby is born, u'll definetly not have the same sleepin habits! Haha, you'll be up alot at the beginnig..The only time u will sleep is when the baby sleeps! Lol

Hello
Hi heather I use to have that problem when I was pregnant with my daughter. You should take a warm bath, I use to put lavender in mine and the put you a pillow behind your back and one between your legs and see if that helps. I know it's uncomfortable, but hopefully it will get better for you Laughing

Thanks So Much!!
Hey everybody I just want to say thanks for all the great ideas. I stayed up till 4am. Since I was up I decided to wash my sheets, cover, pillow cases, all that. They helped a little, tonight I am gonna do the warm bath. I had been trying everything. I already have the fan, had to get one with these hotflashes I have lol! I cant sleep with out it either. I tried sleeping at the opposite side of my bed. It has helped a little. I wore myself out today. My family and I went out to eat, then I did my routine walk, we rented some movies, etc. I think tonight will be really good. I got the body pillow you were all telling me about, and a little one to prop between my legs. Wish me luck!!!! Smile

Pregnant And Having Sleeping Problems
I am at the end of 1st trimester. I have found that taking melatonin helps me often. Yes, I checked with my midwife and she said it was fine to take. I even fould some that has b-6 and calcium in it with just a small amount of meletonin. Since my mind runs alot at night having add, I find it to be real helpful.

In addition, I turn on relaxing soft music at night. I set it to play on a radio in another room just load enough to hear and set it to turn off after an hour of so to insure it doesn't play all night and disturb my sleep.

The last thing I would recommend it to have a set time at an earlier hour to get yourself off the computer. I know from experience that the longer you set and surf the net, the longer it will take to start feeling tired. Take it from someone that has suffered through bouts of insomnia.

Good luck to you. I hope my advise helps a little.
