Induction??? Imporant Posted: 02-06-07 13:53pm
Ok... Im really starting to panic really
badly.. My baby is due on the 11th of
feburary and I still have no sign that he
is coming..!! No change no bh no
contratctions no nothing.. Well anyhow I
have two dates where ill die if he is born
on them. The 15th of feburary I had
something terrible happen to me which I
dont feel comfortable saying and on the
17th was the death of someone that meant
the world to me..Would it be possible to
ask to be induced before those dates.. Im
really starting to panic.. I keep crying
thinking ill never forgive myself if he is
born on those days.. Maybe im sounding
silly but I try to forget those days... I
want his birthday to be only for him and
special... Any advice???

You still have a week to go. Your baby
may decide to come before that but you
have to think about what is best for your
baby. Just because you are induced
before those dates doesn't mean your child
will come before that. Sometimes
inductions don't happen right away and
they have to be done more than once. (i
could be wrong but a friend of mine when
in 3 times for an induction and each time
they sent her home because nothing was
happening.) I personally don't think
inductions are nessisary unless it's after
the 40 weeks and the baby still shows no
sign of coming. Just start walking to
encurage the baby to come. Its healthier
if the baby comes naturally. Anyday that
your child comes is a special day. But I
hope that you get what you want.

Thanks hun.. I would rather not be
induced.. I dont even know if my doc
would do it.. He might only go with it
because of my high blood preassure and the
fact my finger tips and thighs have been
numb for two week.. Nothing serious and
no complications thank god.. But yes ill
be 40 weeks on the 11th.. Im just praying
hell come before the 15. I know it sounds
so silly but I dont think I could handle
his birth on those days..Lol I do really
want everything naturally... Now im
confused.. But thanks for the advice.. I
think I may stay away from being induced

If you go over due, they may consider it
anyway, but for reasons like you dont'
want your baby born on a certain day might
not fly with your doc.
But maybe with the complications, they may
do it.

Give it time sweety
i wouldn't strees right now, remeber your
baby is feeling that to.
You plan for labor for 9 months and it
still comes as a suprise cause you never
know exactly when.
I hope everything works out for you and if
it makes you feel better the good out
wheighs the bad. If your precious child
just so happens to be born on one of those
days it will be a celebration of life and
it will be your childs special day.
