Please - Be Honest Posted: 02-06-07 22:02pm
This is driving me crazy. This maybe too
much information but I don't care.
I went to the bathroom today and out came
a little white stuff that looked like egg
white. I heard this is what the mucous
plug looks like; like snot. Mine looked
like egg white that has been cooked a
little (sorry, no other way to describe
it). When I went to the doctors, the
doctors said that I still had stuff inside
me ready to come out but she couldn't
quite tell if it were blood clots. If it
were a twin I passed, could this be some
of the sac?? Would it be my mucous plug.
Crap. I am 16 weeks, 2 days and I can
feel the little one start to kick.
Please be honest. It's too late to call
my doctor's office. I am not in pain.
I know you would be just guessing.

Maybe it's just discharge? I had tons of
it when I was pregnant. I literally felt
like I was on my period, only instead of
blood it was discharge. That's what it
sounds like to me, but of course I can't
say that's what it was for certain.

I am on a prom forum with girls who have
the same issues. I just emailed them and
the first email I got was the same as
yours. I hope you both are right. She
said that her mucous plug wasn't merely
egg white in color. If it's discharge,
then I have tons of it this time around.
Last time I wasn't like this.
See, every little thing that happens pulls
me over the egg. Everything. I think I
am seriously depressed or something. I
have never been seriously depressed
before. You don't want to do anything.
My child wants nothing to do with me and
only wants his father.
Aw i'm really sorry you are having such a
hard time. I wish you could enjoy your
pregnancy instead of having to worry about
all these things. I'm sorry.

You have every reason to feel this way,
love. I've never gone through anything
similar so I won't insult you by
pretending to know how you feel, but
please know that we're here for you every
step of the way.
Your son is probably a little bit confused
by the situation (why is mommy laying down
all the time, why is she crying, etc) and
might also be picking up on your feelings.
He's still very young, so it doesn't
surprise me that he's finding comfort from
his father. He still loves you. Just
give him some time to adjust, okay?
And allow yourself to feel sad, depressed,
angry... Whatever's in there, let it
come. You won't do yourself or your son
any favors by holding it in. Any time you
feel the need to let it out, you can
always come here and rant. Try to keep
the faith, and remember that your little
boy is still safe inside your tummy.
There are some things you can't control,
but what you can do is take care of his
mother emotionally.
We're here for you.

I agree, I think that your little boy is
probably a bit frightened by the change in
mommy, and daddy seems more 'normal' and
stable. That's to be expected and it
doesn't mean he loves you any less or
anything like that. Kids are like
sponges - they just absorb all the
emotions in the house and it can be quite
overwhelming for them at times. Don't
worry, mommy is still no.1!
As for the egg whitey stuff - it does
sound like discharge. I had tons of it
too - I remember asking my midwife if it
was normal to have this white discharge
and she said yes, totally normal. I
felt really wet a lot of the time!
