This Has Nothing to Do With Pregnancy But I Am Pissed

Ok, when I come to work, I do my work. I
am normally done with my work by 12.30,
unless I am chilling on here. So, then I
take on more work or help others with
theirs.
So ok, this is nothing against smokers,
but:
most of the people I work with are. We
get two 15 min breaks for every 8 hours
worked. That is fine. I do take mine to
feed my daughter something I love. I
will do it as long as I can. Well, the
smokers have the following rutine:
they come in at 7.30
9.00am they go for a smoke
11.00 am they go for a smoke
12.30 they go for a smoke and then go to
lunch until 1.30
2.00 they go for a smoke
3.30 they go for a smoke
and they leave at 4.30.
They are spending more time walking to the
elevators, walking to the 'smoking' spot
we have here on campus (yes we have a
campus) walking back and coming up the
elevatiors.......Than they do smoking or
working.
This irks me so much.

Kinda like how they say "man I need a
cigaretter. I'm goin smoke."
and just go...Cuz apparently ain't nothin
gonna get done about it...

I can see why you would be pissed about
this. I used to smoke, but I never took
as many breaks as the other smokers.
I especially hated it when they would all
go out for a cigarette and leave the
phones to me.....Like I have nothing
better to do than answer your calls. 
what some of us did was after they got
back from their break we would take one
too. We wouldn't go smoke, but we would
just go chill for a few minutes, go for a
walk, get a soda, whatever. When the
boss questioned it we said, "if they can,
we can too!" we called it our "non smoke
break"

We have a mandatory law thingy that says
that if you spend 8 hours or more on the
comp you should take two 15 min breaks.
I just wish if I skipped them I could go
home half an hour early. Lol

I take 2 smoke breaks a day, but I totally
know what you mean. I get a lot of stuff
done on those breaks though, so i'm
nervous for when I quit next month-lol

to do your job then dont' go out every
other hour to smoke. Come on now. I am
not going to help them with their work
anymore.

Or about them???
A lot of our tech guys smoke so when I see
them outside I just ask them to get
something done for me instead of having to
go through "proper channels". I can't
wait to quit. It's such a smelly habit.

That's messed up.
I'm a smoker i've been smoking for like 7
yrs now and I would never use my bad
habbit as an excuse to go on break more.
I'm sorry but no one needs a ciggerette
every 30 min.
I can understand if by some crazy deal all
your work is done and you're just sitting
around being useless but if you have
things that need to be done then do what
you have to do.
You have all reason to be mad. That's
very unfair and personally I would
complain. You should do what sarah said
to. . . I think a kiss from your baby
is far more important then any ciggerette.
