If you have insurance you're not going to get medicaid. How do you have insurance if you're 18 and living on your own?

She might still be eligible, .B. She can at least try. I dunno. What does your insurance cover as far as labor & delivery, .Nicki? Do you have to pay for that, too?

Bah. The site should work. Go to google & type in "medicaid + florida" & it's the first site that shows up.

It covers a lot of medical and dental. I dont have the card on me now, its in the car. But my mom told me today im already paying for everything after the baby is born w/the gyno right now. I dont understand that but she said I dont have to pay anything after the baby is born because it would already be paid for w/all the gyno bills we have to pay now

lol. Yeah thatd work out nice if it was my own computer. But anyways, the weekend is coming up and hes getting paid tomorrow so we'll do a lot of shopping. Also, were moving before the baby is born and wed have to find a new gyno, would I have to wait to get in to that one or do I just send them my records from the place im at now and theyd get me in? Because were gunna be moving after theyre done with this job and what I dont feel comfortable about is, having the baby and living w/all these people. Is there a way where I can get a hold of social services and they can help me and my fiance get into an apartment and they will help pay? I heard there is something out there like that. I want to find a nice 2 bedroom apartment, nothing fancy and just live with the baby and my fiance. Not a house full of people.

my guess is the reason you wont have to pay after the baby is born is because with your insurance, you normally have to pay the first so many dollars and they will pay the rest, so your mum is saying that the gyno bills will total the amount you have to pay before insurance kicks in, does that make sense??

You can't be paying for the delivery up front though, they don't know how much that's going to be in advance.

She can't afford food, she can't afford to pre-pay on a delivery!

You live with multiple people and you still can't afford to live?

There are programs for housing. Low income housing. The lists are really long. You need to call around and get yourself on those lists. You need to be persistent with looking for not only a job but also getting yourself some wic and/or medicaid.

In fact, if I were you, I might consider moving back in with my parents. Are you aware how much baby diapers cost? Do you know how many diapers a baby goes through?

This is only the begining. The expenses just start increasing from here.

For the first 4 months all I did was sleep and eat.. And I couldnt sleep until late at night and then I would sleep most of the day.. Now its different.. But lots of sleep and eat.. Funny thing is I havent gained much weight at all and im 25 weeks now.. Haha.. But not having food and money.. Not a good combo for the baby. Easiest thing is to get a simple job that isnt going to make you over tired and put sress on the baby. I know I was and am in a lot of pain if I stand for too long so perhaps a part time job .. Doing sit down work.. Why dont you go to a temp agency and they can help you find something that works for you
