I've been on 8mg of xanax for way over a year. I have very bad anxiety. I don't know if i'll be able to get through this pregnancy, much less the labor without it. I'm on my medicine, and already horrible thoughts and worries are running through my mind.... I have read online about many many people who have been on xanax during their pregnancy. I see my psychiatrist friday and I am going to ask him about it. But I was just wondering if any of you have been on xanax during your pregnancies?

I haven't be on xanax but I just want to wish you good luck with your pregnancy! 'm sure your doctor and psychiatrist will be able to advise you some more.

Do not use xanax without your doctor's consent if you are pregnant. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant during treatment. Use an effective form of birth control while you are using this medication. Xanax can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. if I were you I would get to see your doc asap so you can be put on something that isn't so risky to your baby. I know howscary this is for you because I was on .Seroxat when I fell pregnant with my son and I had to go cold turkey to come off it because I didn't want to risk it. It wasn't fun but I managed it. Saying that, there are other meds you can take that might not e so harmful. Best of luck.
