Posted: 02-08-07 00:54am

Wow!!! Omg last week I was told that the baby dropped!!! And I felt like he did because well I could breathe and I didnt have any chest pains.. Well I felt that from week 35 to 38.. During which I had really bad pelvic pain.. Now 39 and 4days.. I have been having those chest pains again and feel like there is no room to breathe... Ahhhh.. You dont think he could have moved back up do you???? I know it sounds so silly!

Yes, it can happen. 'dropping' does not mean anything, other than you get to breathe easier and pee more. "dropping' doesn't have any relation to labor or how fast or easy your labor will be. It is usually only first pregnancies that drop. Some women never drop. Some women drop early, etc.

As with most things pregnancy related, this is just one of those things that, in the end, is a non-factor.

That said, the baby can also change positions and cause the feelings you are having.

You are getting close. Good luck!
