Libido While Pregnant? Posted: 02-08-07 11:10am
Hello all, if this is the wrong place to
ask this i'm very sorry and please move it
to the correct spot or lock and I will
repost in the correct spot.
I just had a quick question about libido
while pregnant, my fiance is 8 weeks
pregnant and shes always so tired
(completly understandable). I was just
wondering, will her sex drive go back to
normal after the first trimester, or the
opposite, just curious. It was from very
constant to once a week or less. I'm not
complaining, i'm really just trying to get
the the point of, will she get her energy
back or is she going to be tired for the
next 7 months or so? Lol
any replys would be lovely, thanks again.

It depends. Some women's sex drives go
down wehn preggo and does not return to
normal untill the child is 18 and out of
the house.!! -lol
but seriously, it all depends. She may
regain her desire in the 2nd or 3rd tri or
it may be way after the baby comes. Most
women are so tired when raising a kid that
sex is the furthest thing from our mind.
Her energy should go back up in the 2nd
tri, but will probably drop in the 3rd
again.

Ah well, thats ok. I'm here to support
her in every way I can and if she doesnt
want to have sex, we won't
it's not that I didn't know why she was so
tired, I just wanted to make sure it wasnt
something uncommon. Which I also pretty
much knew, just feels better to hear it
from someone else and not just in your own
mind.
Appreciate it.

We are, 18 and 19. However, i'll be 20
when the baby comes. We're getting
married march 23'rd. We're both ecstatic.
Shes due sept 17'th. (just a guess from a
pregnancy clinic)
is it bad that she hasn't had a gyno visit
yet (8 weeks pregnant) ? Ive been
stressing that she needs to schedule an
appointment, but she hasnt yet, she had
some problems with insurance or whatever.
Since we are getting married she can't
be on her parents, so she had to get her
own plan.

Make sure she calls the docs to get an
appt, they may not schedule her for one
for about a month anyway.
She needs to start taking pre-natal
vitamins and folic acid. If she does not
know how much, talk to the pharmacist.
I'm glad you are both so happy. Best of
luck!!

Any
remadies?
it must be the iron in them, she can
maybe take some prenatals with less or
without iron. I took mine without iron,
but had to start supplementing with iron
in the 2nd tri cause of an iron deficiency
I have. Ask a doc or pharmacist first
though what she should do as i'm not a
doc.
My pharmacist became my best friend while
pregnant. Also you guys must have some
sort of health line you could call.
