Multiple Pregnancies With Lost Fetal Heart Beat At 9weeks Posted: 02-09-07 01:41am


I am 36 years old and have been pregnant twice using clomid (150mg). During both pregancies a fetal heart beat was seen during sonogram at 6 weeks, but no fetal heartbeat later at 9 week point. Both pregancies were lost and d&c performed. Is there a common cause for losing a baby at this same point multiple times? Are there any tests that can be performed to determine the cause? Should I stop trying--what's the probability that this will continue to happen for future pregnancies?

I'm not too sure what the probability is that it would happen again to you, but I had 2 miscarriages before having my son. I would ask your doc, if you are very concerned
