I Have Trouble Eating Enough
Posted: 02-09-07 03:45am

Over the years i've gotten thinner and thinner because I can't seem to eat enough.

I've been a picky eater every since I was young, and often my family would have to find alternative meals (whether the alternates were healthy for me or not) to what they usually cook. They'd also feed me smaller portions because of this.

As I entered highschool my diet seemed to be getting better because I started to participate more in sports. But I quit sports after the first year and began to eat alot less due to family-related stress and over-working myself at school. I would more than often skip meals to complete homework assignments.

I'm not as much of a picky-eater as I use to be, but my father is getting angry at how skinny I become over the months and it's making me extremely depressed. I'm small and not physically active anymore. I'm upset when people call me skinny, especially my family and co-workers.

How am I suppose to gain weight in a healthy manner? On top of this I have anxiety problems and tooth issues (i had a root-canal on one side of my mouth, and a very large space accompanied by a broken tooth on the other side) so sometimes it takes longer for me to chew.

Id probably finda nutritionist to help you in that area. I never had the problem of needing to put on weight recently to remember healthy alternatives. If your eating smaller portions i would try eating 6 small healthy meals a day rather then 3 regular meals. I'm sure a nutritionist can help find foods that are healthy and u can chew easily as well. Even unintentionally being underweight it can still be dangerous and unhealthy.
