Hi - I am in my 3rd pregnancy, the first was a miscarraige at 7 weeks, the second was an ectopic resulting in the removal of the right fallopian tube and ovary.. Now I am 5 weeks and 5 days and my levels of hcg 3 days ago were 585.1 and I have not retested since, but an ultra sound showed that the uterus is empty until this point but the tube appears clear and there is no fluid in the pouch of douglas suggesting an external pregancy so til now things look ok?! Only thing I cant stop thinking about the doctors words the uterus is empty til now!! Is this because the hcg level has not yet reached 1000 Question anyone shed some light!! Thanks xx

It is very early and may be that the embryo can not yet be seen.
At 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant you are about 3 weeks 5 days from conception and probably only 2 weeks and 2 days from implantation, so the baby would be right tiny.
