When did you guys stop using the headrest
thingy for their carseats?? (like the *u*
shaped thingy.)
it seems to scrunch .Caitlyn up and make
uncomfy.

I took finn's out 2 weeks ago and he's
fine without it. He actually looks more
comfortable now.

Yeah but the only thing that concerns me
is if we get into an accident or smoething
her head wont be supported. Otherwise i'd
rip that piece of crap out lol.

I don't think they're for supporting their
heads in an accident. I think they're
just so their heads don't slump over.
Ours was smushy and flimsy, I don't think
it would have done anything in an
accident.

Yeah, they are just their to support their
head in general...Not for an accident.
Adriana was born pretty much lookin'
around, but I kept that head support in
for quite awhile, because I tried taking
it out once and her poor little head
flopped around like a wet noodle. Is the
carseat able to be adjusted at all, like
move the belt up a slot or 2?

Just pointing out, when they're
rear-facing the straps need to be in the
slots at or just below their shoulders.
We're getting ready to move finn into his
big boy car seat. He's getting too long
for the bucket and he's too heavy to carry
in it anyway. We got him the britax
marathon and he looks soooo tiny in it.
He looks like he's ready to blast off for
space in that thing!

of course! You're supposed to keep them
rear-facing until they're 1 and 20 pounds.
The britax marathon is a convertible seat.
It's rear-facing for up to 33 pounds,
then forward facing up to 65. So it'll
last us until he's big enough for a
booster.
I can't wait to use it! It looks so
awesome and comfy and when I put him in it
in the house he just smiles like a fool.
I'm going to wait until it's warmer though
because I don't put him in a snowsuit and
I don't want to carry him out to the car
in the winter with just a blanket. I'm
going to have massive arm muscles by the
time winter is over from lugging him
around in his bucket.

We never used one. Chuy's head never
flopped around. He's held it up on his
own since birth.

infant seat until 12 months. I was just
wondering if that is what you ment.
Sorry.

As of january 18th he weighed 14 lbs 8 oz
and was 25 inches long. Now i'd say he's
probably around 15-16 pounds and he's
probably grown longer too. He's a big boy
but he doesn't look chunky (except those
cheeks). He's already too long for half
of his 3-6 month one piece outfits.

lol damn! We've got some big munchkins on
our hands. Caty is 14 pounds 3 ounces and
25 inches long.. She fits a lot of her 12
month clothes and no way in .Hades can she
fit any 0-3 months.
The doc says shes perfect weight tho. I
guess im just not used to it since .Jacob
is so petite.

She's in her 12 month clothes? Wow!
I bought finn a little shorts outfit for
summer yesterday and I didn't know what
size to get (he won't be able to wear it
until late june-ish), so I got 18 months.
It makes me sad to have to buy big clothes
for my giant baby. His doctor said he's
in the 90th % for weight and 95th for
height. I think I have a future football
player on my hands (even though nick's
hoping for a baseball player).
Here he is showing off his new car seat.
I thought he looked tiny in it but he
doesn't look so small in these pictures!
i want one of those seats for me!
