I have had invasive cancer as well as
cin3.
Have had loop excision and cone biopsy.
Both recoveries were horrible and the cone
procedure left me with bladder trouble
major! My second opinion now is the same
as the first and the recommendation is to
hysterectomy. I will not! This new doc
wants to do another cone to find out if
the need is to do total or radical hyst
(even though I have no plans to). Should
I allow this procedure knowing the next
step is not an option but knowing how much
more cancer I am dealing with?
I have been treating myself herbally and
believe this the path to keeping my
womb.
Am looking for any and all advise.

Why would they need to do a cone to
discover whether they should do a total
hyst or a radical? You'd think they'd be
looking at your ovaries more if a radical
hyst was an option on the table.
That said, you have every choice in this
matter. It is your body. If you want to
keep your uterus, keep your uterus and do
another cone procedure.
The reality is there is no 'cure' - not
even a hysterectomy will totally rid your
body of hpv. There are still cases of
vaginal cancer caused by hpv after a
hysterectomy.
You sound like you've been doing your
research. Good luck with your decision.
