Itchy Vagina Posted: 02-11-07 00:59am
Hello guys. A couple of days ago, my
vagina has begun to itch. I don't think
it's a yeast infection because it hasn't
been "burning" and there has been no
discharge-- just slight itching. Could
this be a developing yeast infection, or
some other disease? Please help, I am
very confused. Thanks!

It could be bacterial vaginosis.

the reason why u might feel itchyness in
your viginal area is because you might not
be practicing proper bathing techniques.
It isnt rather serious now but u might
want to consider taking proper showers.
My suggestion is....Scrub down there with
soap and wash with hot water. Or mabey
its because your vigina is a bit to hairy.
Shave but dont use neir, its not ment for
down there for both male and female.

i just wanted to clear this one part up.
Pubic hair does not usually make people
itch unless they shaved it off and it is
growing back in or something like that.
Pubic hair is very natural and certainly
does not need to be shaved off or removed
in any other way. In fact, many doctors
do not even recommend it as it can even
cause some health problems. Shaving pubic
hair is a relatively new fad. Many
people do it, many people don't. I just
wanted to clear up the fact that by not
shaving people are not doing any harm to
their bodies, in fact the exact opposite
might be the case.

Depending on your sexual activity not
cleaning properly after intercourse can
also cause an irritation. If there is any
redness in the area you could possibly
have external yeast infection rather than
internal but it can spread to that.
Taking baths can also casue an irritation,
change in laundry detergant, change in
body soap, there can be many factors that
could cause itching in that area and you
may want to go into see your doctor to out
rule anything that may require an
antibiotic. I hope all goes well take
