Ok... Here Goes.....

After many sleepless nights I have finally cracked. I am moving logan into the living room to sleep on a night from now on.

He is terrible lazy and even though I put his bottle right next to him he screams until I get up and give his bottle then drinks it and goes back to sleep. I usually don't mind but just lately he's been doing it at least 4-5 times a night then waking at 6am. I just can't handle it. I'm exhausted.

So tonight is a test run. I'm using robbies laptop and I am now in bed after putting logan to sleep in the living room. He went over with no probems.

I'm hoping if he wakes and realises i'm not there then he will get his own bottle and drink it himself.
If he cries for more than 5 minutes I will then do the ferber method on him. I am not backing down though. He neds to realise he has to get his own bottle.

Wish me luck! I'll let you now how it goes

Brayden does this too still!

He has to be rocked to sleep everynight and when he wakes up in the middle of the night which is usually 3 or 4 times. Sometimes he'll take his bottle, drink it and go back to bed if I lay next to him but not very oft.En

i hope you have better luck with that then I did because I tried to break brayden from the habit but he still does it, and I don't want him to cry.

Becks I just read the no cry sleep solution book...I cannot tell you enough how much it helped me. I used to have to rock trace every night or put him in his swing to go to sleep and he would cry and squirm and fight sleep...Well now I do a very consistent routine with him and once he is very sleepy I lay him in his crib and he goes right to sleep. The key is consistency and routine, thats what babies thrive on. Good luck!

Tanya, I started finn on a routine at about 6 weeks. He took to it pretty much immediately and we've had no problems, not even when we moved him to his own room.

Is it a bottle of milk that he has next to him all night or justt juice? If it was milk I would be very careful because milk is a breeding ground for bacteria and any out of the fridge for longer than an hour should be thrown away really.

I'm assuming it's juice though so sorry if i've come across as patronising! Smile

i figured as much. It was just one of those things that my brain compelled me to write just in case someone didn't realise how bad it was to leave milk out that long. I'd feel so guilty if a kid got sick and i'd not said anything Rolling Eyes

Lol. I understand. It's nice that you are looking out for kids. I remember leaving a bottle of milk on the table once and forgetting about it while we went out for the day. When I came back it was all in lumps and I almost threw up- yuk!!! Laughing
