I Have Some Qustion Posted: 02-13-07 00:00am
Okay I have a friend that if 7week
pregnant she is having morning sickness,
sleeps all day, and is eating everything
in sight. I told her those where normal
but she is having upper and lower back
pain. Is that okay or is it unusual?
Thank mother_without_child :d

Morning sickness, sleeping all day and
wanting to eat everything is sight are
normal in the first few months of
pregnancy and some may even expierience it
through out the entire pregnancy. Pain
can also be normal to an extent. There is
cramping, discomfort in the back and other
areas may tend to feel tender. If the
pain becomes to extreme then she should go
see her doctor and if her morning sickness
is severe. Other then that she sounds
like a normal pregnant women.

Some doctors don't usually want to see you
until your 8 weeks along, at least where I
am from. So have her get in soon. Back
pain is common as well though there is not
much of a difference in weight or in body
change in the first few weeks ( visible
difference) but internally your body knows
its going through some changes and the
body needs to adapt to something that is
foreign. Her internal organs are moving
to make room, bones are moving, and her
weight is changeing. So she is going to
feel some weird things happening over the
next few months

Just a word of warning - one of the
symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy is pain
in the the tip of one of the shoulders.
If she has anything like this then she
should seek medical help asap.

No pain like that just pain down her spin.
She called this morning and said she
slept right though the night and wake up
with no pain
