Okay. I made a really big boo-boo by
overlooking a water bill. I got the
situation straightened out with no
shut-offs or anything like that. I
simply had to put a rush on the check.
Now however my boss is coming up here to
visit me on thursday and friday of this
week and I can't help but wonder if i'm
going to get the axe. Other than the
fact that i'd be in a whole heap of
trouble in my living situation and that it
would embarass the heck out of me, I don't
think that I would really care too much.
I'm soooo upset though that they would do
something like that because I overlooked
one water bill. I mean i've freaking
dedicated my d@mn life to making sure
everything goes smoothly at my site. I
don't like being checked up on so I do my
work so that no one has to check up on me.
If this is a check up visit then i'm
pissed. I forgot one bill. I caught
it in time. What about the other 375
bills that I processed last month that
were on time? If she's coming up to
fire me then i'm going to be even more
pissed. I have no, and I mean no
disciplinary actions against me. I've
never had to be reprimanded for anything.
Why is she coming to bother me? Let
me work and don't visit, I don't want to
develop ulcers. Now this other thing
with dh, I think he might have snuck a
peak at my emails yesterday and saw some
things that he shouldn't have seen because
he was trying to be super, super nice to
me. He didn't even go to the gym
yesterday and let me take a quick jog
after work like I used to. I'm pleased
with that little bit of progress but not
enough to stay with him. I'm still
looking for jobs, still looking for
houses. So if you guys hear of anything
keep me posted. I now officially have
no idea where I want to move to.
*ps, if my life keeps up this way, i'm
going to have to be hospitalized for
depression*

Aww, .Kay i'm sorry your going through all
of this. I wish there was something I
could do to help you. As for work, .I
don't think you'll be let go...You sound
like a very good, dedicated employee and
they'd be screwed without you. And if
they don't realize that, then that's their
problem and it's gonna feck them over in
the long run...Not you. But .I think
someone just has a big head and feels the
need to check in on you.
As for .Miguel...Maybe he'll come to the
conclusion you aren't gonna caca around
and you mean business and he needs to step
up to the plate and do his role as a
husband and a father.
*hugs* it's always the good people that go
through the sh.Itty times...It's so
unfair.

I know that you don't know me. But I have
been lurking here for quite some time. I
know that you are going though a rough
time, and wanted to give you some hope. I
work in an accounting office. Not only
was I the accounts payable manager, I was
the entire accounts payable department.
(it was a new division) well, I overlooked
a power bill for one of my branches. They
ended up getting their power turned off.
Well, I was able to fix the problem
quickly. However, I was called into my
bosses office. I knew that I was getting
fired. They said that they understood
that accidents happen. They wanted to
know if it were a one time thing, or I was
getting overwhelmed. Well, long story
short, they ended up hiring in an
assistant. So maybe they're just checking
to if you need an extra hand. Keep your
chin up!

I can't imagine they would give you the
axe for one mistake. Unless it is a big
huge boo boo. Usually there is a formal
process that needs to happen, oral
reprimand, written warning explaining the
issue, corrective action, and what will
happen if performance doesn't improve.
Then the axe falls.
Maybe you will get an assistant, or a paid
vacation!!!

I have to agree with everyone in that I
don't think your boss will give you the
axe for a one time mistake, unless he or
she has gone mental. You solved the
situation very quickly and seemed to have
handled it well. That deserves a pat on
the back not you being fired. I would be
a nervous wreck until that day. Not
knowing the reason for the visit would
cause me to lose it. I am so sorry you
have to go through this right now. You
really didn't need this. I just hope that
it is good news. Does your boss do random
visits?? Perhaps that's it, just horrible
timing?
I think you and I are really sensitive to
everything lately because everything just
just keeps piling on us. Perhaps I will
join in a hospital.
I also don't know where I am going to move
to. I am thinking idaho.

maintenance men and i'm doing three
people's work.
