Hi there, hoping to get some help here....
Our son is now 18 been going thru this
undiagnosed for 9 yrs! Did the x-rays,
mris, bone scan, pet scan now weve gone
full circle, all the specialities. Now we
are back to ortho.... Our ortho took
x-rays yesterday & something finally
showed, going in for an mri in 2 days.
Then bone scan.
Symptoms: bone pain in the one area of
lower femur and upper tibia. Severe now,
would not be able to walk with out meds.
Microfractures in those areas for 5 yrs
now. Stomach pain,severe naseau,
vomitting... Due to pain? Headaches,
found a pituitary tumor. My question:
the ortho saw something.... I asked what.
He didnt really want to get into it with
out a mri, said maybe a bone island. I
immediately started researching: bone
islands do not cause severe pain & are
them from birth? Any ideas, after all
this time i'm just glad this horrible
thing has raised its ugly head & now
we can fight it. Please help &
reply..... Thankyou all!
