Jaw Problems *pic*

This has been bothering me for quite some time now. My lower jaw kind of dishes in instead of lining up with the rest of my face. I don't know if it's an underbite or what. It's almost like I can feel it gradually moving back.

I also noticed that my jaw pops and cracks constantly!! This past year I have noticed that my jaw is tense and I can't really relax it. The pain from being so tight/tense makes my neck sore and my ears hurt. I have looked up info on tmj, but maybe i'm just overreacting.

I had a really bad case of lyme disease a few years ago..Ended up spending $25,000 for treatment. Maybe my jaw problems are linked to that. I just don't know..

(maybe i'm totally overreacting too) but here is a picture of my jaw-

I dont think that you are overreacting at all. the popping and cracking sound a lot like tmd.I would go in to see a tmj specialist first and then to a neuromuscular dentist as it sounds that your muscles are retracting the jaw back. if you need anything just let me know---i can help you find good doctors too if need be--in your area that is ---keep your chin up. It does get better--especially if you have the right doctor. what works for some doesnt work for all so dont let someone elses failure get you down. Laughing Very
