Back Pain That Is Relieved When Drinking Water
Posted: 02-15-07 01:20am

Hello,

i'm looking for someone that can help me with some unusual back pain I have been having for a long time now.
Everyone doctor that I have talked to about this just looks at me weird and tell me to take antiinflammatories - which don't help. What does though, is water! Now this I don't understand. It's not your typical back pain, it's almost like my lower back (not my spine) on either side of my spine goes into "spasms" and it can get so bad that I have to lay in the fetal position clenching onto something. The only thing that will make it go away is if a drink water right away. Sometimes I can catch it early enough because I know what it feels like when its about to hit, it's totally different than my normal back pain that I have. And the odd thing is that all I need to do is drink water immediately and then i'm fine. My only concern is that now it seems to be happening more frequently and to the point where I have to carry around a bottle of water everywhere I go!
I have searched dehydration but haven't come up with much. I don't know what it could be.???
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

OK this might sound dumb but what if it's a kidney infection? I had one once and it gave me sharp pains in my back. The water thing gave me that idea even though I don't know if it would really give you immediate relief for a kidney infections.

Hmmm I'm stumped Confused
