Hi everyone I just got some bad news! I
had some testing done at my ob doc..
Well the results came back not-so-good.
. I had an alpha protein test done,..
Have u heard of it?? Well it came back
low. So hes rushing me to get an
ultrasound already tomorrow at 2:30! He
said if thats low, then alot of the time
it means im high risk for a down syndrome
baby. Im freaking out. He said hes
hoping the ultrasound will reveal that I
am not quite as far along as I thought (im
considered 17 weeks as of now) but he said
if it reveals that I am still around 17
weeks or a little more then they need to
do further testing because something could
be wrong!@@ im freaking out.. I pray
that god lets my baby be okay!@!!!!!!

Omg wow i'm sorry to hear that. I hope
that everything turns for the better. But
I have a question so if it does seem to be
low than is there anything they can do
like give u any kind of medicine to
prevent a down syndrome baby?? I never
knew anyone that went through that so I
dont know much about it. But dont worry
about it to much god works miracles every
day just pray for it girl i'm praying with
ya

Aww dont worry until u need to. Easier
said than done I know. Im always scared
that something is wrong too. Anyhow, just
pray and think positive. Im sure it will
be ok. Doctors are so dramatic lol and
they always have to be extra careful.
Just try and relax until u get your
ultrasound tommorrow. Good luck and lets
us know how it goes. I'll pray for ya. ~

Hun relax and don't worry. Sometimes the
tests arnt that accurate..That's why I
chose not to have many tests done while I
was preg because I was afraid of false
results. I am sure everything will be
fine darling. Sit tight and I will pray
for you and the lil one. Keep me
posted.

I heard that alot of results come out
lower in teens...Just because u gota
abnormal reading doesn't mean its gonna be
abnormal, somewhere I read that only like
1 or 2% of women who have abnormal results
actually have a kid with down syndrome!
Jordan and jaydyn
good luck!

Yeah dont worry I know I read somewhere
that those tests a lot of the time come
out with results like urs, but most of the
time the baby is fine and there was no
need to worry. That's why they generally
don't do those tests in younger women.
But I am sure everything is fine. I know
I didn't want any tests that weren't
necessary because I didn't want them to
tell me something was wrong! Lol. I'm
still always scared something is wrong
like he only has 4 toes!!! Lol I know he
doesn't because I got to count them in the
ultrasound, but still you can't help
worrying! But I bet you your little
noodle is just fine. Good luck!

Why dont you search the net for some info,
hopefully that could put your mind at
rest. Gosh I am praying for you. I didnt
even get that test done, because if my
baby would have been down sydrome I
wouldnt have cared, you learn to love your
baby anyway..

Hey girl!
I hafta go for that next week and I was
nervous about it but my doc told me 80% of
the time its too low or too high, its a
fault with the blood.. So 20% of the time
u hafta worry but if there is something,
they'll find it and becuz its early,
hopefully they can do something to help u
and the baby out good luck!

Well I got my ultrasound back and its a
boy! He said everything appears fine, no
signs of any probs or down syndrome so
far. But he said that I could get amnio
centieses done (however u spell it) where
the poke the belly with the needle do
withdrawl fluid to check if the baby has
any abnormal chromosomes... But ive
decided not to do this because he said
even if the baby (he ) does have a
problem like down syndrome, there isnt
anything he can do.. Plus there is a risk
of getting amnio centeises done because u
can have a mis-carry. So I would rather
just not know 100%. Plus.. I feel
better. .My sister works w/ three girls
and they alll had abnormal results like me
and all of them had normal, healthy
children*
