Valentines Day

Mine was just a regular boring day.. Shane did get me a dozen red roses.. He gave them to me in front of my whole family, so I swear my face was about 29 different shades of red .It was very unexpected!! But other than that, we were snowed in so we just hung out here watching movies all day/night..We're pretty boring people :d

Mine was brilliant! I made a post about it called 'yesterday....'

I posted about mine under "update: my valentine's surprise!", but i'll give you a quick recap.

Nick came home in a surly mood and was slamming things around. Then he calmed down and apologized for not getting me anything. I gave him his cards from me and finn and he looked so sad that I almost cried so I went in the bathroom so he wouldn't see me upset. He kept going on and on about how terrible he was and it just made me more upset, I really just wanted to forget about it. Later he cornered me in the kitchen and asked me to talk to him and tell him what was wrong and I said "i really didn't want a present, I just wanted a card" and I burst into tears. Then he got mad at me for making him feel worse than he already did. Later we moved past it and had some good old fashioned sex that was all about *me*. I told him valentine's day is stupid and not even a real holiday so i'll make it easy for him and we'll never celebrate it again.

Ok, my quick recap is longer than my original post.

I still don't know why I was so upset. I guess it would've been normal to be a little upset but to burst into tears over a stupid card? I don't know.

Mine was nice I cooked a great dinner, steak, twice baked potatos and asparagus, then I made this .H.U.G.E sundae with fresh brownies! It was awsome. I have this thing with presents as soon as I see one, or have one to give away I want it to happen immediately. Hubby made me wait until just before dinner and then he gave me mine, nothing much but he put a lot of thought in to it. It was one of those willow tree statues "promise"



i love it I just have a few of them but they were all given to me by special people for specific things.

Jason gave me mine the day before valentines cuz he wasnt here for valentines day. I got him a card and chocolates I gave to him on the weekend since I wasnt sure if he would be here all week. He got me a card and chocolates and a lil bear. I like my card I got him it says "its valentines day . Wanna do something?" then in the card it says "im something" hehe. I had to make him sign his card, he just handed me the bag with the card and chocolates in it lol didnt even put the card in an envelope.
On valentines my friend came over since her hubbys in afghanistan we made chicken and scalloped potatoes and stuffing for dinner and watched american idol hehe. So we had a girls night valentine.
My brothers bird died yesterday too, unexpectedly, it was fine and affectionate the day before and wake up and its not moving .They had "petey" for 3 yrs, my mom cried
