I had a urinary tract infection in late
Aug early Sept 2006. I was not
professionally diagnosed or treated. My
left kidney and bladder hurt when I peed.
I drank only water and cranberry juice for
a couple of weeks and it seemed to go
away. Since then, I have had a pretty
steady ache in that kidney. It's not
intense and it isn't constant, but I
wonder if there is some damage to that
kidney or something serious that needs
checked out. My insurance sucks so that's
why I haven't had it checked out. It
seems to be worse when I drink a lot of
coffee, tea, or sodas. It's starting to
worry me now.
An ultrasound scan and urinary/blood
analyses can indicate if a possible
urinary infection damaged your kidneys, or
not. You might be experiencing kidney
stones combined with a urinary tract
infection. You can visit your primary
health provider for further diagnostics.
