Is This Normal?
Posted: 02-17-07 01:28am

Okay, later tonight I was in the garage and I was taking my hair out of the ponytail, and I had patches of hair falling out. Ive never had this happen before. Is it because im so stressed out? Or is this actually normal?

Hair can fall out at any time. It is natural to lose hair every day. If your hair was in a pony tail for a long period of time, it would be completely understandable to lose some.

I am not certain if hair can fall out during pregnancy, but I know for sure that it can fall out because of stress. It's happened to me before, lol.

.Usually hormones are supposed to kick in during pregnancy and make your hair thicker and shinier, but dryness, breakage and loss of hair may happen too.

.Its like everything with pregnancy theres what .S.H.O.U.L.D happen, but the only thing that is normal is what is normal for you Smile
.Like everyone else said it probably does have something to do with stress.

.I've just had 2 weeks off work because of stress...I know how much it sucks Sad .

.How far along are you?

.I hope your feeling better soon Smile

.I know exactly what your talking about being depressed/stressed out.And being pregnant really doesn't help putting all the extra stress on your changing body, not to mention those great things called hormones Rolling Eyes .

.It might only be a one time kind of thing with your hair, try not to worry about it too much Smile

only a couple more weeks then your in the second trimester...I was so excited to hit that milestone :d
