Bith control: I skipped a week! What to do?
Posted: 02-17-07 08:56am

I have been on tri-orevifem for over 3 years now. I have never missed a pill. For some reason on my new pack of pills I completely skipped the first week and took weeks 2 and 3. I didn't realize this until today. What do I need to do? Should I start a new pack tommorow and take week one? Or should I just wait until I get my period?

If you wait until you get your period, you will probably get your period a week earlier and cause cycle irregularity. To avoid cycle irregularities you can buy another pack and continue to take the pills from week-3. After you finish the week-3 and start the pills from the week-4, you should get your period. Then, you can start another pack.
