I am 24 years old. My husband and I were
certain that I was pregnant but I got my
period this past thursday. My symptoms
include extremely sore breasts and
nipples, stretch marks forming on my
breasts, tiny bumps on my nipples, nausea,
dizziness, very tired, and very frequent
urination. Thursday I started lightly
bleeding (this was the day before I was
due and I am never on time. Always
late!). I thought it may be implantation
bleeding however as the day progressed it
got heavier. It's saturday and i'm still
bleeding like a regular period but I can't
shake the feeling that I am pregnant. I
took a pregnancy test friday morning and
it said negative. Also, my breasts
usually stop being so tender after the
first day of my period but they are just
as sore as ever. I am not on birth
control and my husband and I used condoms
or spermicidal foam every time we had sex.
Can anyone shed some light on what is
going on!

hello and welcome!
i'd say based on the fact that you used
condoms and foam *and* you got your period
that you're not pregnant. if you're still
concerned and think the home tests aren't
accurate you could always go to the doctor
and request a blood test.
when you're trying to get pregnant or
think you might be it's very easy to read
into every little thing, such as sore
breasts or nausea. pregnancy symptoms and
very similar to pms symptoms and you could
have also had a mild bug.
you can either test again when your period
is over or get a blood test. good luck.

Great thanks so much! I am feeling a lot
better and think I was reading into things
like you said. I'm pretty bummed because
I would love to be pregnant so my husband
and I are talking about trying!
