Don't Know What's Going On. Posted: 02-17-07 17:56pm
So I had a great day but ever since i've
been home my heart has been racing, I mean
so fast and hard that you can sit on the
other side of the room and see my t-shirt
moving. Literally. My chest feels so
heavy , but im not congested or anything I
get a little out of breath when im moving
around but my chest feels so compressed!
My head is spinny and fuzzy and my arms
and legs feel as if i've been walking
uphill for 3 days, and I mean this just
hit me in the face about 1 hour ago and
hasn't stopped. It's kinda scaring me ,
i'm home alone and have the feeling that I
am gonna pass out I
don't know what to do.
It kinda feels like an anxiety attack ,
but ive had so many of those that I know
how to talk myself down, and that isn't
working.
Anybody else ever experience this is
pregnancy or in general?
Just hoping to ease my mind.

Ur preggers right?
You might want to call your doctor, you
may have high blood pressure.
As I am sure you know, pvc stands for
premature ventricular contraction. It
works like this: the heart is usually
paced (signaled to beat) by the sa node,
which is a site in the right atrium.
There are other sites in the heart,
however, that can signal the heart to beat
for a variety of reasons. When one of
these sites takes over it is called an
"irritable site." in a pvc, the beat
"arises" in one of the ventricles and the
beat occurs before the next beat would be
expected based on the pulse rate. Pvc's
are the most common dysrhythmia in healthy
individuals. If the er team did a proper
workup on you (including an ecg) and found
no problems then you probably have nothing
to worry about. When pvc's occur in the
absence of any other condition they are
not treated (unless you have severe
symptoms along with them, such as
decreased cardiac output). They can be
caused by stress, exercise, anxiety, and a
few other things. I sometimes have
premature heartbeats that I suspect are
pvc's, although I have never had an ecg to
find out. They are much more evident when
I have consumed some kind of stimulant, so
I try to avoid stimulants most of the
time. It sounds like you might be having
some kind of panic attacks. Try to keep
stress down and practice coping
techniques. If this doesn't work, you
migh be a candidate for some kind of
pharmacological treatment. I hope this
helps. Stay well.
I didnt write this someone posted that on
a myspace forum and thought it sounded
similar to what your going through , never
heard of it until now.

I had the same kind of symptoms when I
found out I was allergic to mushrooms.
I too have had many many anxiety attacks,
and that is what I thought it was, but I
wasn't under any stress and there was
nothing to cause an attack. It happened
over and over. It got worse every time.
I thought I was having a heart attack.
I went to the er who referred me to an
allergist.
Of course you should go to a doc
regardless
