I was just diagnosed with inflammation of the bladder yesterday. I'm hurting terribly. My back hurts so bad. What can I do?

Did they give you any medication for this?

Cranberry juice is often used to help ease uti problems.

If you would like additional help, you can use the "ask a doctor" button up top when one is online!

I'm a person that is really prone to urinary infections. They should have given you sodium based pills to help the situation. The medication always seems to help the infection with in two or three days or so. Until then, there really isn't much that you can do but stay really hydrated (cranberry juice is great) and wait it out. Also, refrain from sex. That's really the last thing I felt like doing but it would obviously not be helping the situation.
