How does Cytotic affect an unborn baby? Posted: 02-19-07 06:32am
I am now 7 mos. pregnant, and worried...
I never knew im delayed.. because i was so
busy with my studies. pressures in all
angles, hectic schedules.. then when i
found out, i never bothered to take
pregnancy
testing. I just told my partner that im
delayed and that i dont have any idea
since when or how long it has been
already. so we decided that i take
cytotic. I experienced fever, itching,
diarrhea and eventually a heavy bleeding
for 1 day.
I just knew that i was really pregnant
when i reached the fourth month. I went to
my gnecologist and had an ultrasound and
she says that the baby is ok.
but im worried and hopeful.. does the
bleeding i had or the durg i took affect
my baby?

"Cytotic", or misoprostol, is a drug used
for treating peptic ulcers, labor
induction and medical abortions. For
medical abortion, Cytotic is used together
with another drug called "Mifepristone".
Self-use of Cytotic to induce abortion is
illegal and dangerous because of the
possible complications for a woman’s
health and the possibility of delivering a
damaged baby if the abortion fails.
