Ok, so I've been thinking.
Should I change .kayoni's name to plain
.oni?
Her name, initially was going to be .oni
.joilee. But people gave me sh't, so I
changed it to .kayoni.
I don't like it. In my heart, I want just
.oni.
But I *just* got her birth certificate.
I was thinking, when I go to get our
marriage license, I could change her
name.

Personally, I love the name .Kayoni
.Joilee.. It's very unique & it just
sounds really pretty. But if you really
don't like it, I'd go ahead & get it
changed! I can't imagine raising a baby
with a name I hated lol.

Well if you think her name should just be
.oni then got for it,why not? it's not
like you call her that anyhow.one thing I
do want to say though,you don't
necessarily have to.my aunt named her son
jarred pierce and she didn't like Jarred
so she calls him pierce but never changed
it.if it means that much to you,go for
it.
imo,I like her name! it goes with her
middle name so well!

wouldnt' have given you caca about it.
it's what ever you want. i would change
it...if you would wrather .Oni as apposed
to .kayoni. She is your child and you
should never let people sway you in any
direction that you dont' wish to go. you
seem like a pretty strong gal and i am
finding it kinda odd that you would have
gone with that other people said.

right! And when people say it(her maw maw)
they make it sound so stupid. They're like
"kay-oooni"...and it makes me cringe!
I mentioned it to .baron and he had no
problem with it. He said sure...whatever
you want to do.
Besides, when I introduce her...it's "this
is .oni."
I wonder how much it is to change a name?

My granny still can't say .kayoni. It's
"kahunas, keani, etc." And she's not just
playin around...she seriously gets
confused! lmao! It's hilarious.

pronounce because i'm retarded like that)
and it suits her. Kayoni is a pretty name
though. 
You could always leave it the same and
just call her oni. it's a nickname. and
at least in her case her nickname has
something to do with her name. my
nickname has absolutely nothing to do with
my name.  i always have to
explain it. oh crap, i did the same thing
to chuy!! i hope he doesn't grow up
ticked at me for it like i did with my
mum.

go with what makes you happy not others.
the hospital messed up on my sones name
and i didnt notice till a month later when
i was able to bring him home on his birth
cert. they spelled it as jarrad so people
call him ja -rahd like he is from another
country so i am leagally changing it to
the proper spelling of jared. so go for it
girl. and good luck and congrats on your
upcoming marriage.

I love the name .Oni but I'll be totally
honest and say that I'm not keen on the
idea of two sisters being called .Oni and
.Oki. But that's me.
Perhaps I don't like it because the cats
on .Blue .Peter (popular kids show here)
were called .Kari and .Oki...

names .Oni and .Oki *do* sound really cute
together.
If it's what you're going to call her
anyway I don't see any reason why you
shouldn't get it officially changed to
.Oni!
No-one ever calls me by my real name and
I'm sometimes tempted to legally change my
name to .Zanny. hehe

I like my name even though people
mispronounce it all the time. 
I don't like my old nickname. When I
went to college and people started calling
me "Kay" I was sooo happy I had something
to replace that old nickname. My mother
never calls me by anything but my old nick
and so as a consequence so did everyone
else. I started school under a nickname.
That was horrible.
