these 2 names sound the same when i say them.

is loren like the actress sophia loren? it's pronounced like lor-.en (emphasis on the 'en').

It's .lore-uh Laughing neither of my parents are from the south (mom's from .england) so, yeah. lar-uh sounds too much like "lard" to me. Makes me cringe.

whew...I had it right.

I mean, I only know x amount of ways to pronounce your name! lol

I was like...oh no...la-rah...that's horrible!! lmao!!!

Lo-ren is a beautiful name...but I *know* it would be pronounced, loren. So I don't think I'd even go there.

Unless, it's a second name. And the 1st name *can't* be sofia now can it! lol..

Kayoni .loren!! Ha!!

.loren is pronounced like lore-en, emphasis on the first syllable. Lauren is pronounced Lar-in, again emphasis on the first syllable.

.Laura looks better than .Lora. Lora is remniscent of .Lorna, like the cookie, .Lorna .Doones. Laughing

it must depend on where you live. i would pronounce lauren and loren the same- lore-en. i can't think of anyone famous to compare it too except the girl on 'the hills'.

just like cera and sarah, i'd say those the same too. like triceratops.

laura and lara are different though. lore-uh and lahr-uh. lara flynn boyle, lara croft...

this is all so confusing to me.

I would pronounce .Sarah as sare-a, not cera. I wonder if that's a .U.K/U.S thing? I've noticed that .Americans pronounce the name .Mary as 'marry' whereas in the .U.K it's 'mare-ee'.

i think you should just keep her name the same sarah and call her .oni. my name is rebecca but i am .n.e.v.e.r called it- it's always becky but it's nice to know i have a formal name as well as the shortened version.

oki and oni doesn't really do it for me. i like names beginning with the same letter (hence layla and logan) but oki reminds me too much of ok.. Confused

i dunno sarah it's up to you at the end of the day. she's you babba Smile

Yea, so I've been thinking. And I think I'm going to........................................ .......................................... ... CHange it.

I just, I don't know. I prob won't change it because it took me 9 months to get her birth certificate, and it would suck to have to wait to get another one. Plus I'd have to go through all the paper work @ her Dr.s office, medicaid, etc.

I'll never call her .kayoni. ANd I guess I'll have to stick with .kasia if I Have another girl. (I like the same letter thing too! They will both be .k.j.s!)

But if we have another girl (3 girls, I'd die) then it will def be .keoki! Period.

I LOVE KASIA! THAT'S SO PRETTY. THAT WOULD SUCK HAVING TO GO THROUGH ALL THE FORMALITIES AGAIN.

ALSO IF YOU DON'T CHANGE IT IT MEANS SHE WILL HAVE TWO NAMES FOR THE PRICE OF ONE AND SHE CAN CHOOSE WHICH ONE SHE LIKES BETTER WHEN SHE'S OLDER. Wink
