Ovulation After Pregnancy? Posted: 02-19-07 12:30pm
I was wondering if anyone knows how soon
you can ovulate after giving birth? Can
you ovulate before your period starts
again and when do you normally get your
period if you arent breastfeeding? Can
anyone help me with those questions? Im a
first time mom who is still learning the
ropes so to say. Thanks!!!
im pretty sure u can ovulate before yer
period, according to my dr friday at my
postpartum checkup they do a vaginal
ultrasound and she said it looked like i
was either about to ovulate or i was
pregnant , the test was negative so most
likely ovulation. i think u can ovulate
pretty soon after giving birth, just
depends, there are lots that got pregnatn
right after giving birth.

you have to ovulate before you get your
period thats just how it works, ovulation
is what causes you period
as for the other questions, you can get
pregnant as soon as a few weeks
after...that doesnt mean you will but some
times some people can, everyone is
different
breastfeeding tends to stop ovulation for
a while but you can still ovulate as early
as someone who isnt breastfeeding...like i
said before everyone is different
