I think that if you are afraid to gain weight then you shouldn't have gotten pregnant. you are going to gain weight. after the baby is born and you keep the wieght then it's your fault. Just eat good foods and eat right. don't binge and you will be fine. that is where people make their mistakes...they have an excuse to eat what ever they want and that is not good.

no kidding. i've been trying *so hard* since christmas and it's coming off so slowly, i've only been able to lose 11 pounds. i'm trying, it's not my fault it won't come off.

Sad

edit to add: i did lose 25 pounds within 2 weeks after giving birth but that was baby, placenta, and fluids. it's the rest i have to work at.

65 pounds. my cravings were cheese and coke, not good. next time i'm not going near non-diet soda, i was drinking about 3 cans a day and since i wasn't eating much more than normal i attribute that to my massive weight gain.

so i have 30 to go to get to my pre-preg weight and then about another 30 to be where i want to be.

i'm still doing weight watchers, i've done it in the past and lost 80 pounds so i know it works for me. for some reason this weight is just holding on, although now that i think about it 12 pounds in 8 weeks isn't too terrible. 1-2 pounds a week is a good healthy way to lose, it's just frustrating. i'm going to stick with it though because i'm honestly pretty disgusted with myself and i *will* get down to where i want to be.

now i'm just bringing myself down.

your right, that is good.I heard 1lb a week is normal and healthy so your beyond that! At least your sticking with it and you are determined to get yourself the way you want and not just sitting around moaning about it. Wink you can do it!

The whole weight issue.

I was 117 pounds at 5'4 when I had my first child. I gained 35 pounds with my lil' Nate and lost it within a few months. This was not purposeful. I actually ended up weighing only 100 pounds about six months later. I had a lot of tests to figure out why. It was very worrisome. I am small boned but that weight was not healthy for a "then" 29 year old. The conclusion: having a baby sped up my metabolism. I still don't know how it sped it up that much considering I ate like a pig. I actually wondered if I had tape worm (gross, I know).

You never know how your body will react. Worrying about it right now puts stress on the baby, too. I know you are trying not to worry, though, but it probably is difficult.

With this pregnancy I got completely worried because of my low weight. When you don't have enough weight on you the chances for pregnancy complications are higher than if you have average weight. When I found out I was pregnant with this child, I ate and ate and ate. Around 12 weeks, I had gained 15 pounds. I purposely tried to gain weight for my child - not that much weight, though. Little did I know THAT MUCH CHEESE can cause that much weight gain. Now I am stuck on modified bedrest and will probably gain about 60 pounds. It sucks but it would suck more cutting calories and not feeding into some of my cravings!!! I can't imagine life without anymore cheese or salt and vinegar potato chips.

I may lose the weight immediately, I may lose it later, I may not lose it. I am just happy that my baby is still here with me. I am in an extremely high risk pregnancy now and am so thankful that everything is going well at the moment. When you go through something like this, nothing matters but the health of the baby. Feed that baby, feed yourself....wear the weight proudly. Pregnancy weight gain is a beautiful thing!!! My husband actually finds pregnancy weight sexy and wants me to gain!!! I don't think I was voluptous enough for him during my last pregnancy. I was all ball.

Breastfeeding helps to take the weight off. If you weigh a little more after the baby and it's hard to take the weight off, just look at your little one and say....it was worth it. I brought a precious child into this world and my child is HEALTHY!!

Don't risk it, please.

i was soo skinny with my son and everyone told me i was all belly, i looked all belly but i sooooo wasnt, my hips got wide etc. they also said once i popped him out id look as if i was never pregnant, a lie haha, but it was hard to lose weight after him , jason was at basic and he would get 2 wks off here and there and come visit and we would always eat out and stuff. when he was 4 mths old this lady at the gas station asked when my baby was due. i was buying someting to snack on, after that it old jason he could eat it lol. this one im tryin hard to lose the weight but i wont ever be where i wanna be cuz my huge @$$ hips. 30 lbs is all i need to lose. me and my friend go to the gym on the weekends and days my hubby gets off early to babysit, i try to eat healthy wich is easier now since fried and fatty foods cause the excrutiating pain from the gallstones so i cant eat burger king no more lol. i kinda miss my body from before ihad my son Sad i was soo skinny, flat tummy and all .
