Gross: Gas Relief Advice, Please!
Posted: 02-20-07 20:52pm

these cramps are terrible. i haven't seen a doctor yet - only about 6-wk's at most - so i can't ask for medication. anything over the counter i can take?

it's definitely gas. i'm constipated as well. sorry if that's too much information.

can i eat something or add something to my diet? i ate a lot of fiber today, but it didn't do much. in fact, i think it made it worse.

i had absolutely intolerable gas pains & constipation early in my pregnancy. it was ridiculous. the only thing i really can suggest is tons of fiber. my doctor had my start using benefiber because it got really bad & it'd irritate my sciadic nerve, as well. keep at it. it may take a day or two for the fiber to really kick in. drink plenty plenty plenty of water, too. & .eat easily digestable foods. sorry i can be of more help!

thanks. i'm calling my gyno tomorrow. as of right now, i'm still under my parents health insurance. i'll bring it up. as least i know that this is normal. at first i thought it might be the first signs of a miscarriage. [knock on wood]. but - i'm 100% sure it's gas.

i know how ya feel, girl! i was sooo paranoid, because i had a miscarriage right before i fell pregnant with my son. & .it scared the piss out of me when i started getting such horrible gas pains, because i thought i might be having another miscarriage. but it's totally normal & it gets better (for most... lol). your doctor should be able to suggest something that'll be of more help!

aw, i'm sorry to hear. i read that in some of your previous posts. i unfortunately aborted my first pregnancy. i'm extra paranoid about losing this one b/c i don't want to go through with that kind of pain again. it's driving my boyfriend insane! i can't wait to go to a doctor & hear THEM say "the baby is fine." it's hard not to overthink & stress out. i just want a healthy baby.
