Gall Bladder Or What Is It?
Posted: 02-21-07 13:07pm

So i am going crazy....I had severe vomiting(mostly globs and globs of bile)/diarrhea last Sunday that lead to 2 days of no eating/drinking...then Tuesday night I eat and severe pain in my upper right quadrant starts with extreme nausea and has not stopped since. It is way worse after eating say 20-40 minutes after when I break down into tears. I have been to the doctors numerous times and here is the scope so far:

Lab values all normal exept for electrolytes showed the vomiting/diarrhea
Ultrasound normal no stones/inflammation
X-ray no stones/obstruction
1st HIDA Gall bladder didnt fill
2nd HIDA gall bladder filled waiting on EF but was told over phone everything seemed normal.

I have pain that goes around my back side and under my right shoulder blade.

The doctor is convinced this is not my gb even though at first she was and was scheduling surgery and had me NPO many times. She now thinks I pulled a muscle from vomiting so much on Sunday night-even though I didnt get the pain for a couple days after and its relationship with eating. I am so frustrated and sick of being in pain and feeling like i'm going to throw up. Have lost 5lbs since this has started this week.

Does any one have any thoughts? Thanks

Kiki00; Sounds like your Galbladder to me. These are the classic signs of a Galbladder attack. Get a second opinion and make sure you have your test results with you when you go to the other doctor. Also you might want to go see a general surgeon. They are the ones that do this type of surgery. I have helped remove Galbladders that have caused pain but the test results were fine. Hope that helps. Very
Happy
